Industrial Design Intern for the Snap-on Innovation team. Took on a lead designer position in multiple projects, walking each one from start to finish through research, ideation, prototyping, testing, and production. Was able to get direct customer feedback through Shop visits conducted at multiple times throughout the design process.
Job Responsibilities
Engaged in direct customer interaction and interviews out in the field to better understand their struggles, wants, and needs
Developed a new line of lighting products taking into account the learned information from direct user interactions
Designed many concepts for products following company brand language including logo usage, color, form, and material finish utilizing sketching, CAD modeling, and prototyping
Created presentations for internal and external communications, explaining product concepts and directions
